How this started
Every one of us has sat in a consultation and thought — why doesn't a good resource exist for this? We've all watched patients leave without really understanding their results, their medication, their condition. And we've all seen health tech companies charge the NHS significant money for tools that don't reflect how we actually work.
I got frustrated enough to do something about it.
In late 2025 I sat down with Claude — an AI — and described a clinical problem I'd seen thousands of times. Patients arriving anxious about blood test results they didn't understand, using five-minute appointments for translation rather than clinical assessment. With no coding background, just clinical expertise and a conversation, I built a tool that explained over 50 blood tests in plain English, built around how patients actually think about their results. I named it Claudius, in honour of the collaboration that made it possible.
That first tool led to more. A medication explainer. A heart health hub. A men's health hub. Seventy audio guides. Thirty-two infographics. All built from conversations, not procurement processes.
Build With Me exists because I believe the people best placed to build better primary care digital tools are the people who have spent their careers understanding the problems those tools need to solve. That's you. You already have the hardest thing — the clinical insight. I'd like to help with the rest.
